Falls Church boasts many restaurants, but perhaps none so charming and, indeed, as bucolic as 2941. The contemporary French-American cuisine is both sophisticated and playful. In such a setting, would you imagine finding a roasted lamb pita with tzatziki sharing lunch menu space with a roasted duck breast and a Thai-style chicken curry? Starters are equally intriguing, with a stylish candied beets salad with a fourme d’Ambert cheese and a delicate (and seasonal) spring pea soup. Dinner entrées range from grilled swordfish with smoked chili sauce to rabbit saddle with lemon raviolini. The Sunday brunch menu is equally seductive but be warned: all menus are subject to change. Breads, which are baked fresh several times a day, are unforgettable and are presented in several different shapes and flavors.
