Bobby Van's Steakhouse

DC welcomes yet another steakhouse, this time starring local chef Will Biscoe, formerly of Indigo in Great Falls, VA. Filet, porterhouse, sirloin and rib-eye---plus selected seafood (Maine lobster, scallops, pepper shrimp and crab cakes)---are the stars here. If you drop by for lunch, try the Caesar salad with filet strips, although the huge hamburger nestled among fries and onion curls is also a draw. The restaurant’s interior suggests a men’s club, with dark leather upholstery. Check the daily specials before ordering---the clam chowder is a big success---and save room for the house-made desserts, including a terrific chocolate truffle cake. - Gayot
